Excitement is mounting in the Royal household this week, with Prince William and Kate's children experiencing a series of memorable events.

They've had the chance to meet pop sensation Taylor Swift, been part of the Trooping the Colour celebrations, and might even be heading to Wimbledon soon. However, this Saturday promises to be particularly special for a very simple reason.

July 6 marks the end of the school year at Lambrook School. According to the school's website, the younger students from Nursery to Year 4 have classes Monday through Friday, while those in Years 5 to 8 also attend on Saturdays.

Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis are all pupils at the Berkshire prep school, in Year 6, Year 4, and Year 1 respectively, and they're surely excited about the impending start of their summer break.

Moreover, the next academic year doesn't kick off until Wednesday, September 4, which means the young royals can anticipate over eight weeks of holiday, reports the Mirror.

Nine-year-old Charlotte, in particular, might find this break quite relieving. Her father, Prince William, recently shared that his daughter had been undergoing exams at school, which she wasn't too thrilled about.

At a D-Day commemoration event in Portsmouth last month, William engaged with a well-wisher who asked about Charlotte. He crouched down to share, "Charlotte's at school, Charlotte's got exams."

He continued, "Yes, she's got tests she wasn't looking forward to it this morning... Hopefully it's all gone well!"

Lambrook, nestled in 52 acres of Berkshire countryside, boasts a golf course, swimming pool, theatre, sports centre, and various art studios.

Melanie Sanderson, Managing Editor of The Good Schools Guide, told Hello! "We know the royals love being outdoors. They love the countryside and it's a real muddy-knees type of school. They've got acres and acres of pitches and fields to explore and they're allowed free rein in their break times."

George, Charlotte, and Louis have had a tough time following their mother's cancer diagnosis. However, they are looking forward to spending quality family time together in the coming weeks.

It remains uncertain whether William and Kate will take a summer holiday; in the past, the couple have taken their children to the Isles of Scilly, a favourite holiday spot for the couple.

They might also head to Scotland to spend time with King Charles at Balmoral. The late Queen used to spend every summer there, and during her stay, numerous members of the Royal family would join her, from William and Kate, to Charles and Camilla, and Princess Eugenie and Beatrice.

This is a tradition Charles is likely to uphold. Balmoral was believed to be the monarch's preferred residence. "I think Granny is the most happy there. I think she really, really loves the Highlands," said her granddaughter Princess Eugenie in the documentary Our Queen At Ninety.
