Harry In Tears As King Charles And Princess Anne Freeze Harry's Funds and Assets From Queen's Will

The revelations surrounding the contents of Queen Elizabeth II's will have shaken up the royal family in a major way. While much of the estimated $500 million estate was left to the new King Charles III as expected, one notable exclusion has caused significant drama - Prince Harry was not left anything in his grandmother's will.

Sources close to Harry say this came as a blow to him and has worsened his already strained relationship with his father King Charles and other senior royals. Harry had hoped the Queen may have left him some of Princess Diana's personal items that she had kept over the years. However, Charles and Prince William now control all of Diana's effects and memoirs to be passed down within the royal lineage.

Being cut out of the will has hit Harry very hard and he is said to be resentful towards his relatives. In what has been seen as a punitive move, Charles and Princess Anne have also frozen Harry's access to any funds or assets he stood to inherit from the Queen through the monarchy. This perceived punishment for stepping away from royal duties has only added to the deep divisions within the family.

Harry's wife Meghan Markle is said to be furious with how Harry has reacted to the contents of the will. She reportedly feels he is being ungrateful and entitled by complaining about the Queen's decision, and that he needs to simply accept what was written. This difference in opinion has led to heated arguments between the Sussexes as they navigate the latest turmoil with the royal family.

Tensions in their marriage are further exacerbated by Harry's upcoming memoir. Meghan is said to be unhappy with some of the criticism of her included in early drafts, feeling Harry is throwing her under the bus to improve his standing with his relatives. While Harry insists any critiques have been misrepresented, Meghan wants to preserve their privacy and not air dirty laundry.

Adding to the couple's woes is the ongoing conflict with Netflix over their documentary series. Harry and Meghan wanted the focus to be their philanthropy but Netflix pushed for more access into their personal lives and relationship. This resulted in testy meetings and there was even a brief period where the Sussexes considered pulling out due to creative differences and hurt feelings on both sides.

With the holiday season fast approaching, the fractures within the family could not be more apparent. Harry and Meghan had planned to join the royals at Sandringham for Christmas, as they have in years past. However, given the current tensions between Harry and his father, as well as the obvious turmoil in Harry and Meghan's marriage, spending the holidays together now seems unfeasible. Sources say Harry backed out of joining the family celebrations, and the Sussexes will be spending Christmas privately this year.

Ever since stepping back from royal duties in 2020, Harry's relationship with his father and brother has steadily deteriorated. The unveiling of the Queen's will and learning he had been cut out has dealt another huge blow to already damaged family bonds. However, Meghan reportedly blames Harry for dwelling on perceived slights and not moving past issues with his relatives. She sees his reaction as immature and risks further alienating a family she has long had a rocky relationship with.

At the same time, the Sussexes' grievances with Netflix and Harry's plans to publicly critique his wife in his memoir have introduced fresh cracks in their partnership. With Christmas now spent apart from the Windsors, it seems any prospect of short-term reconciliation is fading. The fractures show no signs of healing as tensions take their toll on bonds within both the monarchy and Harry's marriage. How the royal family and Sussexes navigate ongoing divides will shape the future of the British institution for years to come.
