The eldest of Prince William and Princess Catherine's Royal children, Prince George, will see their lives change dramatically in 308 days because of a very old rule designed to keep the line of succession safe. Once Prince George turns 12, the young Royal siblings will no longer be able to travel together and he will also no longer be permitted to share a helicopter or airplane journey with his father Prince William.

According to this rule, the protocol is designed to protect the monarchy in case of accidents and keep the line of succession safe. News of the unusual rule was revealed ahead of Prince George's 11th birthday on July 22nd by King Charles's formal pilot Graham Lori. Given that Prince William is next in line to the throne and will one day become King, George is third in line and Charlotte is fourth. In the event of an accident on an aircraft or another form of transportation carrying both of them, it could threaten the immediate line of succession. This is why the rule forbids this from happening.

If the rules applied, it means that at only 12 years old George will have to travel separately from his family for the rest of his life. It's understood that if the whale's family wants to travel together for the next year onward, they would need to seek permission from King Charles, who is the current Monarch. However, Prince Charles and Princess Diana didn't abide by the protocol dictated by the royal family and frequently traveled with Prince William and Prince Harry in flight.

The former pilot revealed "We flew all four - the prince, the princess, Prince William, and Prince Harry - up until Prince William was 12 years old. After that he had to have a separate aircraft and we could only fly all four together when they were young and with written permission of her majesty. When William became 12 he would fly normally in a 125 from Northolt and we would fly in 146 out with the other three." Sadly, members of the royal family have lost their lives in air accidents. The late Prince Philip's sister Princess Cecil died in a plane crash in 1937 and the late Queen's Uncle Prince George Duke of Kent died in 1942 and her cousin Prince William of Gloucester died during an air show in 1972.

On July 14th, Royal siblings Prince George and Princess Charlotte looked more grown up than ever when they stepped out for separate sporty outings with their parents. Princess Charlotte went to Wimbledon with Kate Middleton and Aunt Pippa Middleton while Prince George traveled to Germany with Prince William for the UEFA European championship between England and Spain. While the future Monarch coordinated with his dad in a navy suit and blue, white and red striped tie representing the colors of the Union Jack Flag.

Charlotte's personal style shined at Wimbledon where she had a girl's day out with her mom and aunt watching the men's singles final. The little princess wore a dress in a classic pattern - white polka dots against navy - with her hair styled in her go-to mini braids tied back with a ribbon. She followed her mom's lead and slipped on sunglasses when the sun shone on Centre Court. The prince and princess of Wales' only daughter appeared to have swiped a hint of new product - lip gloss - and wore bracelets with meaning. She slipped the gold charm chain bracelet on one wrist and two friendship bracelets on the other. The colorful string bracelet may connect to a Taylor Swift fandom as the pop superstar's followers accessorized with homemade jewelry in honor of the lyrics of the song on her 2022 album Midnights.

The Kansas City Chiefs star quarterback Patrick Mahomes and his brother Jason Kelsey proceeded to recap their royal rendezvous with Prince William and his eldest two kids on their podcast. Where they agreed that Princess Charlotte had a special sparkle and dubbed her a "superstar".

In conclusion, Prince George will face sadness over separating from his siblings next year due to the long standing royal rule of traveling separately after age 12 for safety. However, their recent outings showed how grown up the royal siblings are becoming.
