According to a report from royal biographer Rob Jobson in People Magazine, Kate Middleton is now planning to make some significant lifestyle changes going forward after receiving a cancer diagnosis. Jobson says that Kate will be living a "much more balanced life" in the future and that her "perspectives are now going to be officially changed."

To me, this sounds quite serious and concerning. The fact that Jobson is saying Kate will need to live a "balanced life" and that her diagnosis has changed her perspectives suggests that her health issues must be putting some limitations on her schedule and activities. It doesn't seem like she'll be able to return to her previous busy royal engagements and duties full time.

Some may question the vagueness and cryptic language used in this report. If Kate truly received a cancer diagnosis as Jobson claims, you'd think more specifics would be provided about the type of cancer, her prognosis, and treatment plan. The lack of medical details leaves much open to interpretation.

However, taking it at face value, this does seem to imply a negative health situation for Kate that will require ongoing management. It's strange because just a few months ago, Kate appeared to be doing well as she attended events like Wimbledon and Trooping the Colour without any apparent issues. So what has changed so drastically that now she needs to live a "balanced life"?

Additionally, Kate was recently snubbed from Tatler magazine's 2024 Best Dressed List, which recognized Princess Beatrice as the number one best dressed royal instead. While being left off a best dressed list alone wouldn't be concerning, in the context of this new health revelation, it adds additional weight that Kate may be limiting her public appearances for the time being.

In other royal news, Kate's uncle-by-marriage, Lord Robert Fellowes, has passed away at the age of 82. Fellowes served as Private Secretary to Queen Elizabeth and was the brother of Diana, Princess of Wales. His death on July 29th was reported as being from natural causes.

Kate has also faced renewed scrutiny of her relationship with Meghan Markle, as a new book claims her walk with Meghan at Windsor Castle following Queen Elizabeth's death was "the hardest thing she's ever had to do." According to the book, William invited Harry and their wives to view floral tributes together for a show of unity, despite concerns over their famous feud.

Kate later confessed to a royal family member that the walkabout was immensely difficult due to tensions with Meghan. I find this statement a bit over-dramatic - surely being married to William through his multiple alleged affairs would rank higher on a list of "hardest things". However, it does give insight into the icy dynamic between the two duchesses at that sensitive time.

Overall, this new health update leaves many unanswered questions about Kate's well-being and what her prognosis may be. The vague language has led to much speculation. I hope in time we learn more concrete details that provide clarity on Kate's condition and treatment plan. In the meantime, I'll be following for any further updates on how she's adjusting to this new "balanced life" ahead.
