We had just finished celebrating Carnival last weekend and it was a great time, though we're all feeling a bit tired now. The police had a large presence at all the events to make sure things didn't get out of hand, which I understand given the crowds, but it's a shame they have to be so strict.
It was surprising that we even managed to attend the festivities given the high prices of everything lately. We took the black taxi because taking public transit has become too expensive with rising costs. Jesus, I could barely afford the tickets, drinks and food! It's getting to the point where normal people won't be able to celebrate Carnival or enjoy a night out.

Still, I'm glad we made the effort to be there and experience the atmosphere. Now we're all recovering back at home. Anyways, the big news lately seems to be about the British Royal Family of course. It's been officially announced now that Meghan Markle is never returning to the UK, and frankly I think good riddance.
I'm so glad she made the decision to stay away for good after the terrible way she was treated by the press, the royal family and the public. The way William, Kate, and the rest of them disrespected her was shocking. There were even rumours that William put his hands in her face during an argument, which if true shows a complete lack of respect. If anyone did that to my wife, there would be serious issues.

They relentlessly hounded her from the moment she started dating Harry. The press and the firm clearly wanted her gone from the very beginning and did everything they could to make her life a nightmare. So I don't blame her one bit for not wanting to step foot back there after the horror she endured. The royal PR machine is vicious.
King Charles has apparently said in interviews that he's seeking advice from the Church about how to speak to his son Harry. I don't understand why he's making such a big public show of it rather than just picking up the phone. He’s trying to avoid taking responsibility and just contact Harry directly to resolve things.
Instead he's giving stories to newspapers to control the narrative. It doesn't make sense. At the same time, he's happy to provide security for Andrew around the country even after stripping him of his titles, but won't offer the same to his own grandchildren. The hypocrisy of the royals knows no bounds.

Even worse, these interviews remind me of his wretched wife Camilla and the PR manipulation she pulls. Let's have her in a documentary about cheating on and breaking up Diana's marriage through her affair. Before waxing lyrical about wanting to talk to Harry, perhaps Charles needs to acknowledge his own poor behaviour first.
What I'm really here for is seeing Prince Andrew finally held to account for his crimes. The new reports that the FBI have expanded their investigation is promising. I hope there is real progress made this time and he ends up in an American prison for his actions. It's bizarre that even the notoriously pro-roy
