The past months have been immensely difficult for the young Royal family. The Princess of Wales Catherine has been quietly battling both depression and a debilitating health condition. What was once a large and active royal family suddenly feels very small, with only Queen Camilla and Prince William taking on public engagements. But they are set to get more support when the Princess of Wales returns to work in the coming months.

In a deeply moving video released recently, Catherine opened up about her struggles over the last 9 months. Since discovering she had cancer back in January, it has been a scary and incredibly tough time. However, she said that out of darkness can come light. The Princess expressed how she was looking forward to being back at work and undertaking a few more public engagements.

King Charles and Queen Camilla watched the video and were quickly moved to react. In a statement, they called the news that Catherine's cancer treatment had come to an end as "wonderful." The touching and very personal video address showed Catherine with her family by her side. King Charles, with emotion thick in his voice, said he could not begin to fathom the trials Catherine had endured over the last few months. But he wanted her to know she had shown immense courage and strength in the face adversity.

Catherine felt a wave of relief wash over her at the King's words. The weight of her private struggles had been a heavy burden, but in this moment she knew she was understood and supported by the man who had become like a second father to her. Reports say the King and Queen will continue to offer Catherine their love, thoughts and support as she moves forward in her recovery. As someone who has faced his own health battles, Charles will understand what she is going through psychologically and the importance of getting back to working in public.

The video also featured Catherine's whole family, including Prince William and their three children - Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis. They showed the family having fun outdoors, on the beach, and sitting together playing games with the Middleton parents. As Catherine recounted her cancer treatment experience, the support of her loved ones was clear.

This past weekend at Trooping the Color, it was Catherine's first public appearance since Christmas following her cancer diagnosis announcement. The event, always significant for the Royal Family, took on extra emotional weight due to a touching moment between Catherine and King Charles. As they stood on the Buckingham Palace balcony waving to the crowd, the world's media focused intently on the pair. According to commentators, this moment carried added significance due to Charles' unexpected choice to stand next to Catherine instead of his wife Camilla, as is usually protocol.
