PRINCE WILLIAMS PHONE CALLS OF RAGE AND TEMPER REVEALED

Prince William was livid. He paced back and forth in his study, screaming into his phone. "How could she do this to us, after everything dad put us through!" he yelled. His closest friend and aide, Thomas, sat nervously watching from the corner. They had known each other for years but he had never seen William in such a rage before.

It had been a traumatic night for the young prince. He had watched alone as his mother Diana gave a bombshell interview with Martin Bashir, divulging shocking details about Charles' affair with Camilla and her own romance. But it was Diana's admission that she had fallen for James Hewitt that sent William over the edge. After months of standing by his parents' sides as the affair and divorce played out publicly, this was the betrayal that broke him.

William remembered the pain he felt as a boy listening to his father confess on national television to his infidelity. And now here was his mother doing the same thing, exposing the most private details of their broken family for the entire world to gossip about. It wasn't fair to him and Harry, who just wanted their parents to be together and happy. How could Diana not see how much this would hurt them?

When Thomas returned to check on William a while later, he found the prince collapsed in tears on the floor, sobbing uncontrollably. "She didn't even think about what this would do to us!" William cried. Thomas helped him up gently and offered a shoulder to lean on, but he knew there was nothing he could say to ease William's anguish. This was a betrayal that cut him deep.

That night, Diana phoned hoping to explain herself to her son. But William was having none of it. "How could you do this to us?!" he screamed into the phone. "Dad's affair was bad enough but now you've dragged us into your mess too!" Diana pleaded with him, insisting she only wanted the world to understand the truth of their situation. But William was too angry to listen. He shouted and yelled, letting out years of pent-up frustration and pain, before slamming the phone down.

The next day, William calmed down enough to apologize to his mother. He knew deep down she was also suffering from the divorce. But the damage was done. Diana worried she may have permanently harmed her relationship with her son. "What have I done to my children?" she asked, overcome with guilt and sadness.

News of William's reaction soon leaked to the press. Tabloids relished the juicy details of the young prince's legendary temper finally exploding after keeping up a brave face for so long. Reports stated he had been prone to such "notorious rages" since his teenage years, usually whenever the royal family's dirty laundry was aired publicly. Palace sources insisted he was just a normal teen under enormous pressure, lashing out at a family betrayal no child should have to endure.

But the story confirmed what many royal watchers had long suspected - behind William's pleasant public persona lay a volatile temper just waiting to erupt. While the world saw him as dutiful and serious, those close to William knew how fiercely protective he was of his family, and the depths of anger that festered beneath when they were threatened. Only now, all of Britain was privy to that side of the future king they had never seen before.

The incident cemented a frosty relationship between William and Diana that would never fully heal. He kept her at arm's length from then on, wary of any new secrets or revelations. His rage also spilled over onto his uncle Charles Spencer and other friends of Diana's whom he blamed for encouraging her betrayal.

To this day, William remains fiercely opposed to any new details about his parents' divorce being made public. Some speculate this stems from deep-seated trust issues and control issues left over from those traumatic teenage years. Friends say underneath his calm exterior still lies that same volcano of anger, now sharpened by a lifetime in the spotlight defending his family's dignity. Whenever new books are published or old stories recycled, palace sources warn that interfering could "wake the dragon" - a chilling reminder of the furious prince that teenage William once was, and perhaps still is beneath the surface.
