In latest breaking news today, Princess Katherine's brother James Middleton gave a rare update on his sister after she announced she is in remission. During his exclusive interview on Thursday, he said she's doing okay. "It's not for me to share on her behalf how everything's going. It's not for me to share on her behalf, you know how everything is going, but she's getting all the right support and the focus that she needs and anything like that takes time to process," James commented.

James' comments come as Katherine has begun to take baby steps back into Royal life, carrying out engagements for her early years's project behind the scenes and going to church with her family as she continues to recover from a difficult year. Katherine's younger brother, along with his siblings Pipa Matthews, celebrated their 18th birthdays with a cherished family tradition lovingly upheld by their parents Carol and Michael Middleton.

Speaking fondly of his sister's Milestone birthdays, the dad of one remembered Katherine and Pipa were given beautiful jewelry for their 18th birthdays, but "mine is a tractor." I've decided to honor her by naming her Tilly on behalf of our family dog," he said. As a brother to the Future Queen, James is aware of the enormous public interest in his family.

In his new book "The 37-year-old shares a heartfelt Story of Survival as he opens up about his battle with clinical depression and feeling suicidal at the end of the year. James returned to therapy and gave gave his GP permission to talk his desperately worried parents Michael and Carol and his sisters about the struggles. James detailed how his supportive family agreed to go to Family Therapy, which he said was like having a translator.

As a result, James said it was so important to have an impartial third party to tell Carol and Michael that his mental health struggles weren't something they had done to him. "What's more, James raved about how his older sisters supported him during this time. He continued, "Once I started to understand a bit and then for my sisters to understand it who could then also speak to my parents. Now it's something that can be discussed at the dinner table. It's helped us as a family not just me individually but as a unit to be more open.”

In the past decade, James gifted two dogs to his sister Lup and Ora. James believes that Ora helped his sister when she needed support the most. He believes the cocker spaniel supported the princess as she battled cancer. "I know how much the dogs for me have helped in taking your mind off something, so I'm certain that for them or is doing her job in supporting her family," James said. "That was the experience I had through my challenges. I certainly feel like it's something that her family and our family are going to do too."

Ora was featured in the princess of Well's video message confirming that she had finished chemotherapy. At the beginning of the clip, the cocker spaniel runs alongside the royal couple and the three children - Princess George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louie. The Wales have two dogs since their 2011 wedding. James Middleton bred both. James bred a litter of puppies in 2011. Lup came from that litter and was gifted to Catherine by her brother in 2012 when Prince William, then an RAF search and rescue pilot, was deployed to the Fauland.

In November 2020, they announced that Lup had died. He was 9 years old. A couple shared a post on social media about the sad news: "Very sadly last weekend our dear dog Lupo passed away. He has been at the heart of our family for the past 9 years and we will miss him so much," W and C wrote. Therefore, the Royal mum of three was on the receiving end of how the dog can support during trying times throughout her healing journey. Now that she's finished cancer treatment, when will she return to work full-time?

While the palace has not shared when the princess will return to the frontline royal, she has been reportedly working behind the scenes on projects that she's been long connected to. The royal family has not revealed those details. As the holiday season approaches, royal watchers wonder if she will hold her annual Together at Christmas Carol service at Westminster Abbey. They also look forward to her joining members of the royal family for their annual Christmas Day walk from church.
