Where to even begin today? So much has happened since we last spoke. But I think we need to start with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, as doesn't every royal rumor these days?! Things seem to have gone from bad to worse for the Sussexes in recent weeks. Remember when they excitedly announced their big moves to leave the UK and pursue financial independence in North America? We all thought it meant exciting new projects and opportunities for the pair.
How wrong we were! Since relocating to California, it's been one fiasco after another for those two. First there was Meghan's ill-fated Archetypes podcast that promised so much but delivered little of substance. Then Prince Harry's memoir debuted to lukewarm reviews and accusations of unchecked exaggeration. Their Netflix deal has reportedly hit the rocks too. It seems Hollywood isn't all it's cracked up to be for a pair used to life in the royal fold.

But the drama doesn't end there. Word on the royal grapevine is that things are turning sour between Prince Harry and his family back in the UK too. It's no secret the rift between Harry and his brother William runs deep after everything that came out in Oprah's interview. But now I've heard rumors that Prince Charles has had enough of bankrolling his youngest son's jetsetting lifestyle too. Apparently Harry's recent inheritance from his great-grandmother is now off limits, with tight controls put in place over how and when he can access the funds.
This has reportedly caused major tensions between father and son. And with Meghan by his side constantly pushing for more, it's said to have pushed Harry to breaking point. Could this financial cutoff be the beginning of the end for "Megxit"? Only time will tell...

On the other side of the pond, things seem calmer but no less dramatic. While the Cambridge clan continue their duties smoothly, all is not as it seems behind palace doors. Word is Kate and William are deeply stressed by having to pick up the pieces left behind by the departure of Harry and Meghan. The extra workload and public scrutiny has left them burnt out. Even Kate's perfect poise is said to be cracking under the pressure.
Rumor also has it the Fab Four are no longer the close-knit quartet people assume. Tensions have been rising for years between the couples and the Sussexes' departure only amplified existing rifts. William is said to be furious that Harry continues to throw accusations at the family in the press. And Kate simply wants her brother-in-law to take responsibility for his own actions and stop creating drama.

It really is marvelous to dissect the minute details of these royal relationships. Just when you think you have them figured out, another twist emerges! Only one thing is for sure - the Windsors never fail to keep us entertained with their constant antics.
Now for a bit of rare royal good news. While the senior royals may be embroiled in all manner of intrigue, thankfully the Cambridge children continue to delight. Recent pictures of Prince George, Princess Charlotte and little Prince Louis on their first day of school had us all melting over their cuteness. How lovely that Kate and William are prioritizing a normal upbringing for their brood, despite the pressures of Palace life. It gives hope that the future of the monarchy is in very capable small hands!

In unrelated news, recent outings by Princess Anne and Prince Edward have shown the unsung work of our less prominent royals. Zara Tindall and her husband Mike put on a united front as always too following recent cheating rumors. It's comforting to see the extended family chip in to help the Queen in her advancing years. The royals may bicker internally but they always band together against outside threats. A true sign of their deep devotion to service and duty.
