Royals Are Separated! Princess Catherine's AWKWARD Moment Leaves Her In Heartbreaking Tears

It has been two very long years since many pivotal events took place in the royal family. In that time, we've seen TV interview episodes that aired like episodes in a book, with shocking claims and accusations. There have been ongoing court cases and more court cases, a near catastrophic car chase, a major coronation, ongoing battles with cancer. Just over two years ago, many things came into focus but one aspect that has not been widely discussed is that Queen Elizabeth's state funeral was possibly the last time that Princess Diana of Wales and the Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle, will ever come face to face in public. That funeral could very well have been the last photo ever taken of the two women together. It also could have been the last time Meghan will ever humble herself to set foot in the royal midst.

One must ask themselves - when will they realistically ever be in the same room again? The only possible scenario might be at the funeral of King Charles III. But even that really stretches the imagination, given Buckingham Palace's willingness to relegate Harry to the second row at his grandmother's funeral and third row at his own father's coronation. Where might they attempt to put the Duke at his father's eventual funeral? Earlier this week, Prince and Princess of Wales finally lodged plans to secure a US trademark focusing on mental health projects, which could potentially overlap with the work of the Sussexes in America.

A source told reporters that Meghan was quite shocked when she found out the Wales' were planning to do more work in the US after registering their foundation's brand with authorities. Although William and Kate have made a couple trips stateside, it's not typically part of their portfolio. Now Meghan feels like they could be moving in on her turf. Palace sources reportedly added that the plans are nothing more than internal housekeeping matters. However, it is still being viewed as a surprisingly positive sign in Kate's ongoing recovery from the rift with Meghan back in 2018 and 2019.

The last time photos showed Kate and Meghan side by side, at least attempting to put on a good united front, was back in July 2019. At the time, rumors had swirled for months of disharmony, with claims that Meghan had allegedly made Kate cry ahead of her wedding to Harry. That royal engagement was sadly the last time the two daughters-in-law of the future monarch had actually been seen speaking to one another. During the 2020 Commonwealth Day service, they didn't even look at each other or utter a single word.

Generally royal events are known for their grandeur and precision. However, even polished settings can see awkward moments occur. One such incident took place between Kate and Meghan at Queen Elizabeth II's Commonwealth Service. As the family filed into the chapel, Prince William had to direct where family members should walk to their seats. Having arrived first, he told Prince George to pause. But Kate seemed unaware and tried to walk down the aisle, forcing William to point out they needed to wait so she could step back to allow Harry and Meghan to pass. It was then that the Princess made an almost hesitant gesture as she shifted and paused to let Meghan through. Although brief and subtle, the slight shuffle she made drew attention on social media.

Going on television and publishing interviews to embarrass and rebuke one's family and sister-in-law can have consequences it seems. Reports indicate King Charles is more wary about rebuilding a relationship with Prince Harry after everything that has been said and published. When Harry recently made a brief return to the UK for a charity event, William conspicuously re-shared an emotional post from Kate around the same time, coinciding with Harry's presence in London. It remains to be seen whether the families can overcome the rifts of the past two drama-filled years.
