The Princess of Wales debuted her new bronde hair transformation on Saturday as she took part in a walkabout outside of Windsor Castle following Queen Elizabeth II's heartbreaking death on the 8th of September. She and her husband Prince William reunited with Prince Harry and Megan Markle for a surprise Royal outing in her first Royal Duty as the Princess of Wales. Katherine put on a brave face as she greeted teary-eyed Royal fans and paused to observe touching floral tributes left outside the castle gates in honor of the late Queen.

While they adhered strictly to Royal protocol by dressing in traditional all-black morning attire, Katherine found subtle ways to pay a personal tribute to the late Monarch through her clothing choices. Adhering to the late Queen's period of mourning, the mum of three was photographed wearing a chic long-sleeved black dress and suede heels. The Royal finished off her look with a gently tousled hairstyle, which did well to accentuate her noticeably lighter locks.

Switching things up, it appeared that Catherine has traded her usual raven tresses for a softer brunette color laced with honey highlights. Only last month, the Royal mum was photographed at the Commonwealth Games with much darker chestnut hair enriched with chocolate low lights. Her new hairstyle was a noticeable change and no doubt attracted comments from observers. However, Catherine handled the walkabout with grace and professionalism as she represented the monarchy during this difficult time.

Approximately 2,000 mourners gathered in London's Westminster Abbey to observe the state funeral ceremony for Queen Elizabeth II on September 19th. If you're one of the over 4 billion people from around the world that watched the televised broadcast, then you saw several private moments that have now been banned from future airings and will never be seen again.

For the occasion, Princess Catherine chose her 18-karat white gold and diamond drop earrings, crafted from two of seven pearls given by the Sheikh of Bahrain to then-princess Elizabeth and Lieutenant Philip Mountbatten at their wedding in 1947. Around her neck, she wore the Japanese Pearl choker crafted by Garrard, a piece she debuted at a 2017 celebration of Elizabeth and Phillip's 70th wedding anniversary - also worn by her late mother-in-law Princess Diana.

The first banned footage includes shots of Prince Edward and his wife Sophie weeping during the state funeral service held at Westminster Abbey. Queen Elizabeth's youngest son and the woman often referred to as the late Monarch's favorite daughter-in-law were seated in the first pew at the church and seen crying at different points during the somber service. However, those intimate moments will not be broadcast going forward out of respect for the grieving family members.

It's also been reported that clips of Princess Anne's daughter Zara and Prince Andrew's daughter Princess Beatrice getting visibly upset during the funeral won't be aired again either. Something else that reportedly will no longer be shown is Prince William's oldest son Prince George seen wiping and scratching his nose. Therefore, viewers should not expect to see any footage popping up on screens showing the second in line to the British throne touching his face during the ceremonial proceedings.

On March 22nd, Kensington Palace released a video statement announcing that Catherine had been diagnosed with an undisclosed type of cancer following tests conducted after a planned abdominal surgery in January. The Royal Family announced that the Princess of Wales had undergone surgery to remove the cancerous tumor, followed by a course of chemotherapy treatment.

Nine months later in December, Catherine shared a new video message revealing that she has now finished her cancer treatment. While still not disclosing the specific type of cancer, this news brought relief and joy to her many admirers worldwide who had been praying for her recovery. What has been confirmed so far is that Miss Middleton has kept her natural hair throughout her treatment. This positive outcome can likely be attributed to the type of chemotherapy regimen she received.

Hair loss from chemotherapy is influenced by several factors like the specific drugs used, the dosage amount, and an individual's personal response. Some treatments like low-dose cisplatin can be less likely to cause alopecia. Her chemotherapy protocol reportedly involved wearing a special cooling helmet during infusions, which decreases blood flow to the scalp and thus reduces the amount of medication reaching the hair follicles.

By announcing the successful completion of her chemotherapy, Catherine not only celebrated a major personal milestone but also delivered an important message of hope to others experiencing similar health struggles. A cancer patient undergoing chemotherapy is often also taking additional medications to help mitigate common side effects of treatment. Factors impacting treatment success include things like the original cancer type and stage, a person's age, and any existing health conditions. Catherine's recovery is a testament to the strength of her character and the excellence of her medical care team.
