The Duke and Duchess of Sussex visited the village of San Basilio de Palen in northern Colombia, accompanied by the country's vice president Francia Marquez.

Megan was a vision in cream and white as she toured the historic village, which was founded as the first free African city in the Americas in 1619. The Duchess wore a cream Argent sleeveless top that retailed for around £120, which she paired with an Emma posy ivory skirt that goes for about £193. She kept the outfit simple and elegant with her beloved M. Parson's black tea strap sandals, which cost approx. £347. Megan topped off the look with a stunning cream hat that had black details.

She also wore a pair of black and cream earrings along with her favorite black and gold Rayan aviators which go for about £22.

Another added, "No one dresses smart casual like Megan." A third agreed, "Elegant and casual - very Megan, very pretty."

A fourth said, "Perfect outfit." A fifth commented, "I like that her look isn't a copy of Diana, although she does incorporate some of her jewelry sometimes. She's developed a soft, sophisticated style of her own."

A sixth person said, "This suits the vibe. You can't deny it's stylish and seems achievable." Another added, "Giving Elizabeth James 'Parent Trap' vibes."

Meanwhile, on their visit to the village, the Sussexes learned about the important work being done to protect the villages and preserve their heritage. They spoke to community leaders about initiatives focused on sustainability, women's equality and empowerment, and protecting Colombia's precious natural landscapes from deforestation.

The village of San Basilio de Palen is located deep in Colombia's Choco region, near the border with Panama. It was founded in 1619 by African people who had escaped from slavery and sought refuge in the dense rainforests. Today, the village remains largely isolated due to its remote location. However, it still proudly celebrates and preserves its African cultural roots through music, dance and cuisine.

Megan and Harry were given a tour of the village by community leaders and listened intently as they learned about the challenges the residents face as one of Colombia's Afro-Colombian communities. Issues discussed included threats from drug trafficking as well as illegal logging in the forests near the village. Despite these difficulties, the community has worked hard to promoteresponsible ecotourism to help sustain their way of life.

The couple also visited a local school where they played with young students and observed an English language class. Megan and Harry spent time coloring with the children, read books, and played traditional games in the schoolyard. It was clear the students and teachers were thrilled by their royal visit.

In addition, Megan and Harry met with women working with an organization that makes traditional basketwork and ceramics. The organization helps empower women economically by assisting them to preserve, promote and sell their culturally significant handicrafts. During their visit, Megan and Harry helped the women by painting and decorating some of the ceramic items.

They departed amid much laughter, hugs and waves from local residents young and old.
